Robert Pack drives the MD23 Thunder &
Lightning Class car. He is 47 years old and lives in Sumter, SC.
His Home Track is Sumter Speedway.
Robert drives the blue and silver '95 Olds.
He started racing in 1995 in the Pure Stock
Class so that his wife could drive a race car! His first win was in
1995. Last year was his worst year but still finished in 7th
place. In 1996 Robert finished 2nd in the points.
The thrill of racing for Robert is the smell
of raw fumes and the not knowing if things are going to go your way tonight
so you can just finish the race. His greatest thrill was flipping,
coming out of turn 4 on the last lap. His greatest racing moment was
having a child come up to him asking for Robert's autograph.
Dewey Pack Jr, Lottie Anderson, Anita Pack,
have helped Robert with his racing program. Special thanks to Chris,
Arthur, Jake and Mr. Caples.
Mark Martin is Robert's racing hero.
Robert says, "Dirt's for racing,
asphalt is for getting there. Do it in the dirt!".
