Banjo started racing in 1995 in the
Go-Kart Class at the age of 8 because Ed Gibbons got him
started in racing in 1995 when he let Banjo drive his son's Go-Kart.
Banjo has loved it ever since that time. At the age of 14 he moved
up to the Mini Stock Class at Sumter Speedway. His first win in
Mini Stock was in 2001. Career highlights include winning the 1997
WKA State Championship, winning 50 races before turning 20 and 2003 Sumter Speedway
Track Champion.
The thrill of racing for Banjo is
everything that involves racing. His greatest racing thrill was
passing on the last lap to win. He's most proud of winning 50
races in cars before turning 20 years of age.
Banjo's racing heroes are Bobby Labonte
and Fireball Roberts.
Of racing, Banjo says, "Never give up!".
