JOHNNY WELCH

Johnny Welch drives the #2 Pro Stock Class car.  He  lives in Sumter, SC.  His Home Track is Sumter Speedway.

Johnny drives the red and black Camaro 80 model.

He started racing in 1999 in the Pure Stock class because he always wanted to and always enjoyed watching other family members race.  His first win was in 1999 in Pure Stock.  He won 9 races last year.  In 1999 and 2000 Johnny was Pure Stock Track Champion.   He has won a total of 36 races.

2003 Brought Johnny his 4th track championship at Sumter speedway. He won 7 Feature events.

2005 Johnny won 6 Features and finished third in the points at Sumter

The thrill of racing for Johnny is winning!  Competing with other drivers for a fair win.  His greatest thrill was winning 11 races in one year.  His greatest racing moment was his first Track Championship.

LE Mooneyham, Tony Truesdale, Timmy Kennedy, Mikie Truesdale, George Tschore, Billy Nicholes, Jr. Welch, and Robbie Mooneyham have helped Johnny with his racing program.  

His father, Charlie Osborne is his racing hero.
