Charlie is from Sumter SC. He started racing in 2002 in a street stock at Sumter Speedway. It was "Just somthing I love to do." He got his first win his rookie year at Sumter Speedway.

Getting his first win was  very emotional for Charlie.  The thrill of racing is going round and round and round, fast.  He is proud at getting started at a early age.
