Carl Sherwood drives the #49w Late Model Class car.  He lives in West Cola, SC.  His home track is Sumter Speedway but he can also be found racing at Screven Speedway. 

Carl's #49w car is the yellow and black Rocket Chassis, Chevy motor.

He started racing in 1990 in the Super Stock Class because of his competitive nature.  His first win was in 2000 in the Late Model Class at Sumter Speedway. 

The thrill of racing for Carl is the competition.  His 2000 racing career was the most exhilarating racing time for him. 

Russell Powell is Carl's racing hero.

Of racing, Carl says, "Stay with it, don't give up!".
