Kevin Turner

Kevin Turner drives the #4 Pro Stock Class car.  He lives in Sumter, SC.  His home track is Sumter Speedway.  People who help Kevin are:  Dave Hoover, Chris Geddings, Mike Lighthill, Pete Haselden, Troy Turner, Charlie Grooms, Randy Browder and friends.  Mark and Kevin Turner are car owners.  Special thanks to our wives and daughters:  Cindy, Tammy, Christian, Michelle and Aylissa.

He started racing in 1997 in the Pure Stock class at Sumter Speedway because he grew up around dirt track racing and he's always enjoyed the trill.  His first win was in 2003 in the Pure Stock Class at Sumter Speedway.  He had two wins in 2003 and finished 4th in the Points Championship in 2004. 

The thrill of racing for Kevin is the feeling you get when you win and being competitive.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win at Sumter.  He passed the checkered flag road around to turn 4 where his fans sit, jumped on the hood of his car and did a victory jig!  He's most proud of his brother, Mark, for putting Kevin in the Winner's Circle.  If Mark had not built and drove his own car in 1995, Kevin probably would have never had a chance to drive his own car.   Kevin says, "every time we show up, we have a chance to win".

Bill Elliott is Kevin's racing hero.
