Ray Yates drives the #55 Mini Stock Class car.  He lives in Scranton, SC.  His home track is Sumter Speedway but he can also be found racing at I-20 Speedway.

He started racing in 2000 in the Mini Stock Class at Sumter Speedway because of his son.  In his first year, he finished in the top 10.

The thrill of racing for Ray is the sportsmanship, the rush and the great friends made.  His most exciting racing moment was finishing in 2nd place.  He's most proud of just being able to have the experience. 

Ray's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Of racing, Ray says, "Fun, exciting, good fellowship, meeting good people!".
