Joey Ayers drives the #69 Pro Stock Class car.  He lives in Sumter, SC.  His home track is Sumter Speedway.

He started racing in 1989 in the Pure Stock Class at Sumter Speedway because Virginia wanted to race and bought a race car.  His first win was in 1990 in the Rookie Pure Stock Class at Sumter Speedway.  Joey won the Rookie Championship in 1990.

The thrill of racing for Joey is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was when Virginia raced with the men and won the race in 1994.  He's most proud of his first win in 1990 and of Virginia and he racing and doing it as a team.  Working together is great for us.
