JIMMY BLACKWELL

Jimmy Blackwell drives the #83 Late Model Class car.  He  lives in Simpsonville, SC.  His Home Track is Sumter Speedway but he can also be found racing at Bulls Gap.

Jimmy drives the black, white and pink Pontiac Grand Prix.

He started racing in 1968 at Sumter Speedway because it was a family tradition.  In 2001 Jimmy was the Fox Radio Sumter Speedway Driver of the Year and finished 2nd in the points.

The thrill of racing for Jimmy is being involved with children and fans and winning races.

Tommy and Angie Hill, Deb Blackwell and Rowdy and Tootie have helped in Jimmy's racing program.

Dale Earnhardt is Jimmy's racing hero.

Jimmy says, "When it's your night, it's your night!".
