He started racing in 2001 in the Pro-Stock
Class at Sumter Speedway. Kevin has raced since he was little, and his
dad and his uncle raced the same track in the 70's.
Kevin's 2001 highlights include winning his
first Heat Race and being competitive and being the youngest driver in the
The thrill of racing for Kevin is the Pace
Lap, all the motors revving up, smelling the fuel burning, knowing you're
about to race, hard core for 20 laps. His greatest racing thrill was
when Roger Horne went airborne on the front shoot slamming down on the roof
of Kevin's car.
His greatest racing moment is when he led 15
laps of the first race of 2002 without having set the car up and 1 year old
tires on the car.
