Ricky Atkinson drives the #R-1 Bomber 6 Class car.  His home track is Sumter Speedway.  He lives in Sumter, SC.

Ricky started racing in 1979 in the Pure Stock Class at Sumter Speedway because of Hero, Lee Johnson and Tow Truck driver, Big Ed Swanson.

The thrill of racing for Ricky is the fun.  His most exciting racing moment was taking out Danny Johnson.  He's most proud of his wrecker driving.

Ricky's racing hero is Lee Johnson #29.
