Matt Gilbert drives the #17 Street Stock 4 Class car.  His home track is Travelers Rest Speedway but he can also be found racing at Harris Speedway.  He lives in Slater Marietta, SC.

Team members helping Matt are:  Arnold, Daddy, Momma, Kaci, Judy, Gerald, Horace, Jeremy, Darrell, and Freddie.  Arnold Gilbert is the car owner.

Matt started racing in 2003 in the Rookie 4 Class at Riverside Speedway because it runs in the family plus he's in the 3rd generation of his family to race.  His first win was in '04 in the Rookie 4 Class at Riverside Speedway.  Career highlights include winning 11 races at Riverside Speedway in'06, finishing 2nd in the Points for 2005 and 2006.

The thrill of racing for Matt is running side by side in the turns 3 wide.  His most exciting racing moment was coming from the rear at one track and finishing 2nd then going to another track and winning from the rear also.  He's most proud of the friends he's made and the racers you meet every week.

Matt's racing hero is Tony Stewart.
