Robert
Stutts grew up in a racing family. Since 1961 Stutts Racing has fielded
cars in the Middle Tennessee area—that’s right, 2006 will be the 46th
consecutive season for the team!
Robert began racing in 2002 in a Rookie Pony (4 cyl )
class at Duck River Speedway. His dad had raced for years (164
feature wins) so he couldn't help himself. Robert won his first race at Duck River in the
Pony Class his rookie year. Robert has won Duck Rivers Rookie of the
Year, Most Sportsman Like, and Most Popular Driver
awards. He also won the 2003 Late Model Championship at Duck River.
He got his first Late Model win at Thunderhill Raceway in Summertown TN.
Supported by his father, Jeff (who’s won 164 features himself!), his uncle
(also named Robert), and his entire family, Robert has definitely begun to
flex his muscles on the local racing scene.
Robert’s
career began with a well worn 4 cylinder division car at Duck River
Speedway. Nobody knew what to expect. He won.
Since
then Robert has moved to the 2 barrel Late Models, the Limited Late Models
and the Super Late Models and Crate Late Model series.
He began
2006 competing at Savannah, GA’s Oglethorpe Speedway Park’s Young
Guns Super Late Model ShootOut. During the Media Day seminars, with
presenters from NASCAR, Atlanta Motor Speedway, Robert’s website was
singled out as “absolutely the best racing website we’ve ever seen”!
The thrill of racing for Robert is going
to a new track for the first time and doing well. His greatest
racing thrill "I haven't had it yet!...........It will be my next
WIN!!!!!!" He is most proud that his family is with him each week.
"Its terrific that we can all be together!".
Robert's racing hero is his Father, Jeff
Stutts.
Robert would tell you "I am very proud of
my family's racing background. Please check out our website
www.robertstutts.com
Robert's goal for 2007 is simple:
"Make a good showing and earn the respect of the other drivers in the
StormPay.com races.".
