Chad Maurer drives the #54 Open Wheel Modified Class car.  His home track is Crystal Motor Speedway.  He lives in Eaton Rapids, MI.

Team members helping Chad are:  Crew Chief - Linda Maurer, Crew - Chris Dick, Jason Maurer - brother, Tech Support - Dave Headley, Chassis Builder - Mike Zemer and Zeke Zemer.  Chad and Linda Maurer are the car owners.

Chad started racing in 2006 in the IMCA Modified Class at Crystal Motor Speedway because his brother let me drive his car and that is all it took!  His first win was in 2006 in the IMCA Modified at Orleans Raceway in Michigan.  Career highlights include 2006 Rookie of the Year at Crystal Motor Speedway and Mid Michigan Raceway Park, Heat win at Crystal Motor Speedway, Heat and Feature wins at Orleans Raceway, Heat wins at Mid Michigan Raceway Park.

The thrill of racing for Chad is the adrenaline rush!  His most exciting racing moment was his first race ever!  The Ice Bowl in Talladega, AL. where he started 22nd in the Feature and finished 15th!  He's most proud of his success in his Rookie year. 

Chad's racing hero is his brother, Jason Maurer.
