David started racing in 1999 in the Bomber Class at 281 Speedway because he was interested in auto motors, setups, and his wife dared him. His first win was in 2006 in the Hot Stock Class at 281 Speedway. Career highlights include 2004 Hobby Stock Class 8th in points at 281 Speedway, 2005 Hot Stock Class 4th in points at 281 Speedway, and 2006 Hot Stock Class 2nd in points at 281 Speedway.

The thrill or racing for David is living in the moment with all problems left behind. His most exciting moment was in 2006, when he won the "A" Feature in Hot Stock Class by holding off Duane Pritchett. He is most proud of seeing his wife's smile when he finishes a good race, and the support she gives him.

David's racing hero is Richard Petty.
