Melvin started racing in 2007 in the Hobby Stock Class at Heart O' Texas Speedway and 281 Speedway because his friends were racing and it seemed like a lot of fun.

The thrill of racing for Melvin is having a good time and the competition. His most exciting moment was winning his heat race and getting second in the feature in one night. He is most proud of the friends that help and support him.
