Jon "Locnload" Grindstaff

Jon Grindstaff drives the #17 Hobby Stock
Class car. His home track is Kennedale Speedway Park but he can
also be found racing at Abilene Speedway, Heart O' Texas Speedway and
Texas Thunder Speedway. He lives in Venus, TX.

Jon started racing in 1989 in the Street
Stock Class at 85 Speedway because he always wanted to race since he was
a kid, growing up watching Richard Petty and David Pearson. His
first win was in '90 in the Street Stock Class at 85 Speedway.
Career highlights include '91 finishing 5th in the Points in Street
Stock, '93 finishing 7th in the Points in Street Stock, '98 finishing
2nd in the Bomber Class at 2nd in Figure 8 class, '07 finishing 7th in
National Rookie of the Year in IMCA Sport Mod.
The thrill of racing for Jon is door to
door clean racing and spending time with family and other who enjoy
motorsports. His most exciting racing moment was in '98 with 13
Feature wins including winning on Father's Day and Fourth of July
weekend. He's most proud of almost winning the '98 Figure
8Championship at 85 Speedway.
Jon's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt Sr.
