Cody Shoemaker drives the #54 Sport Mod Class car.  His home track is Boyd Raceway but he can also be found racing at 281 Speedway and Kennedale Speedway Park.  He lives in Paradise, TX.

Team members helping Cody are:  Dad - Jerry, Clay, Jeff, Pit Crew - Garrett, Sam, Gary.  Jerry Shoemaker is the car owner.

Cody started racing in 2009 in the Hobby Stock Class at Boyd Raceway because his family has raced for many years.  He got his first win in a Southern Sports mod at 281 Speedway.

The thrill of racing for Cody is the speed.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first feature at 281 Speedway.  He's most proud of his  fans.

Cody's racing hero is his Grandpa, John Shoemaker who raced in Jacksonville IL and Godfrey, MO.  He was Track Champion 2 years in a row in the '70's.  Cody's #54 was his Grandpa's number which is the year Mr. Shoemaker was married.

Of racing, Cody says, "It's fun but expensive!".
