Sid Kiphen

Sid Kiphen drives the #58 Southern Sport Mod Class car.  His home track is Heart O' Texas Speedway but he can also be found racing at Texas Thunder Speedway.  He lives in Gatesville, TX.

Team members helping Sid are:  Lisa Kiphen, Jonathin Beard, Kyle Bloodworth. 

Sid started racing in 1983 in the Street Stock Class at Heart O' Texas Speedway because a friend talked him into it.  His first win was in '86 in the Street Stock Class at Heart O' Texas Speedway.  Career highlights include 8 Track Championships at Heart O' Texas Speedway and Bellmead Speedway in the '80's, '90's and 2000's, Fall Classic win twice, Lone Star Series twice, over 200 Feature wins with 8 in '11.

The thrill of racing for Sid is to have a real close race.  Winning is just a bonus.  His most exciting racing moment has been 28 years of excitement.  He's most proud of having his family and friends behind him and making so many new friends at the track.

Sid's racing hero is Roy Ewing.
