Koby Barksdale drives the #22 ASCS Sprint Class car.  His home track is State Fair Speedway but he can also be found racing at Devils Bowl Speedway and with ASCS.  He lives in Norman, OK.

Team members helping Koby are:  Dad, Uncle Rick, Brent Swift, Jason Burris.  Kevin Barksdale is the car owner.

Koby started racing in 1998 in the Motorcross class coming from a racing family and mostly because of his Dad.  In '99 he moved up to Minisprints and in '04 started racing 360 Sprints.  His first win was in '03 in the Micro Sprint Class at I-44 Speedway.  Career highlights include '03 Rookie of the Year A-class, '03 A-Class Track Champion at Faxon Speedway, '03 runner up Non-Wing at Faxon Speedway, 12 Micro A wins, two 360 A wins.

The thrill of racing for Koby is the speed, the adrenaline rush, the competition between drivers, everything!  His most exciting racing moment was his first 360 Sprint A Main win where he led the whole thing and the car was even running like crap.  He's most proud of his Rookie Year in the A-Class (non-restricted Mini Sprint) when he won the Track Championship and finished 2nd in the Points that same year in Non-Wing.

Koby's racing heroes are his Dad and Dale Earnhardt.
