His home track is Cowtown Speedway. He lives in Everman, TX.
Team members helping Jimmy are: Darell
Shaffer, Joe Shaffer, Danny and Brett Vauble, and Jeffery Holland. Danny
and Brett Vauble are the car owners.
Jimmy started racing in 1982 in the
Street Stock Class at Cowtown Speedway because his uncle raced when he
was 6yrs. old and he grew up around racing. His first win was in 1983 in
the Street Stock Class at Cowtown Speedway. Career highlights include
1987 Mid Season King of the Hill, 1987 Season Championship, 1994-1997
Track Championship in Hot Stock Class at Cowtown Speedway, and driving
Brett and Danny Vauble's Modified.
The thrill of racing for Jimmy is always
wanting to be the best at anything he does. His most exciting moment was
wining the 1994 Sun Sun Belt and getting to go to the 1995 Nascar
Banquet. He is most proud of his Championships, and getting the chance
to drive a modified.
Jimmy's racing hero is Dale E.
Of racing, Jimmy says, "I think its the
greatest sport out there!"
