Bobby Mercer Jr. drives the #5M IMCA Sport Mod Class car.  His home track is Heart O Texas Speedway.  He lives in China Spring, TX.

Team members helping Bobby are:  Dad - Bobby Mercer Sr., Mom - Pat Mercer, Uncle - Bill Joe, Girlfriend - Amy, girlfriend's Mom and Dad - Melinda and Gary.

Bobby started racing in 2003 in the Sport Mod Class at Bellmead Speedway for the fun of it.  His first win was that same year. 

The thrill of racing for Bobby is the rush of racing side by side.  His most exciting racing moment was his first win which paid $1,000 to win.  He's most proud of just being able to go out and race with his buddies every weekend.

Bobby's racing hero is Jeff Gordon.
