Mitchell started racing in 1985 in the Street Stock Class at Heart O' Texas Speedway because he had always worked on cars, bikes, trucks and liked to drive and loved racing.  His first win was in '91 in the Hot Stock Class at Heart O' Texas Speedway.  Career highlights include Top 5 in '91 at Heart O' Texas Speedway and All-Star (4 at Heart of Texas and 5 at All Star).

The thrill of racing for Mitchell is the speed, going fast and turning left.  His most exciting racing moment was winning.  He's most proud of his year in 1991. 

Mitchell's racing hero is Sammy Swindell.
