David
Cook
#32
David Cook drives the #32 Street Stock
Class car. His home track is Kennedale Speedway Park but he can
also be found racing at RPM Speedway. He lives in Red Oak, TX.
Team members helping David are:
Marguerite Cook, Sabrina Cook, Matthew Cook, Autumn Cook.
David started racing in 1978 in the
Street Stock Class at Grand Prairie Speedway because of buddy of David's
bought a car and he started helping. David asked his buddy is he
could drive one time and his buddy said "no". So, David built a
car and beat his buddy! His first win was that same year.
Career highlights include when he and a buddy were racing in a dead
heat. They couldn't tell who won until a lady came out of the
stands with a video of the race and David had won!
The thrill of racing for David is where
he can take something he built with his own two hands and make it out
perform other people. His most exciting racing moment was when the
car raised up and he could not see the track anymore. He's most
proud that he never gave up on it and his family has not given up on it.
David's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.
Of racing, David says, "Be careful and
be safe and watch what you are
doing!".
