Charlie Wilson
#55
Charlie Wilson drives the #55 Crate Late
Model Class car. His home track is Kennedale Speedway Park.
He lives in Sanger, TX.
Team members helping Charlie are:
Buddy Baker, John McNeil.
Charlie started racing in 1996 in the
Street Stock Class at DFW Speedway because Tony Marcum got him involved
in dirt track racing and Charlie had to have his own car. His
first win was in '98 in the Street Stock Class at Boyd Raceway.
Career highlights include IMCA Stock Car Championship at Boyd Raceway in
2000.
The thrill of racing for Charlie is to
win. His most exciting racing moment was winning the Feature the
weekend his daughter was born. His car was covered with "it's a
girl" streamers and everything! The next weekend Haley go her
picture with him in the Winner's Circle. He's most proud that he's
still able to race as many years as he has and still going. He's
also proud of his second family.
Charlie's racing hero is Tony Marcum.
Of racing, Charlie says, "It's like a
drug...it's very addicting. You can't stop if you want to!".
