Martin Wampler drives the #55 I-Stock Class car.  His home track is Lubbock Motor Speedway but he can also be found racing at Abilene Speedway and Champion Motor Speedway.  He lives in Snyder , TX.

Team members helping Martin are:  Wife - Carmen Wampler, daughter - Samantha Wampler, friends - Willie Free, John Nobles, Jacie Eveland.  Carmen Wampler is the car owner.

Martin started racing in 1985 in the Street Stock Class at Roadrunner Speedway because he rodeoed and his wife showed horses.  Could not agree on horse training so went to dirt track and decided to go racing as a couple, got engaged at Roswell NM at the dirt track.  His first win was in '86 in the Street Stock Class at Roadrunner Speedway.  Career highlights include racing Street Stocks, Super Stock, Mini Sprints, 305 & 360 Sprints, Late Models, Modified and now I-Stock.

The thrill of racing for Martin is when he runs close to the front because I-Stock is very competitive.  His most exciting racing moment was racing with the USAC Sprints at Terre Haute, IN.  He's most proud of being able to be competitive while still building chassis and engines out of his backyard shop.

Martin's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Martin says, "Racing involves fellowship with fellow racers.  Racers help each other when one is having problems.  Racing is something we have done as a family!".
