Derek Drown drives the #74B 305 Sprint Class car.  His home track is Lady Luck Speedway.  He lives in Amarillo, TX.

Team members helping Derek are:  Lynell Cahoon, Dystin Taylor, Alex Drown, Terry Steward, Scott Brown, Tyson Sheffield.  Ben Aufil is the car owner.

Derek started racing in 1996 in the Micro Sprints class at Viper Speedway because it was a cool hobby.  His first win was in '99 in the 360 Sprint Class at Route 66 Speedway.  Career highlights include 2000 Route 66 Speedway Champion, '01 NCRA Rookie of the Year, '05 Hutchinson Grand National Champion, '11 Lady Luck Speedway Track Champion.

The thrill of racing for Derek is all of it.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Sprint car race he ever entered and the '05 Hutchinson Grand National Championship.  He's most proud of all the friends he's met.

Derek's racing heroes are Scott Brown and Gary Wright.
