Paul Gardner Jr. drives the #30 Sims Limited Modified Class car.  He lives in Baytown, TX.  His home track is Houston Raceway Park but he can also be found racing at Motorama Speedway.

He started racing in 1996 in the Street Stock Class at Battleground Speedway because he'd always wanted to race since he was about 5 years old.  His first win was in 1999 in the Street Stock Class at Battleground Speedway.  Career highlights include finishing 5th in Track Points in 2002 and 3rd in Points in 2004.

The thrill of racing for Paul is the speed and side by side racing.  His most exciting racing moment was in 2002 when he led the whole Feature except the last lap.  He tried a classic slide move in turn 4 and slid to high and lost by a car length.  It was the best race of his career.  He's most proud of finishing 3rd last year in Track Points.

Paul's racing hero is Dale Earnhardt.

Of racing, Paul says, "It's a good sport to be in and for kids it can be best because kids like to drive fast and at the race track it is the safest place to do it!".
