Jim Asher Sr.

Jim Asher Sr. drives the #66 Sims Modified Class car.  He lives in Mt.Belvieu, TX.  His home track is Motorama Speedway but he can also be found racing at HRP and Gator Speedway.

He started racing in 1984 in the Bomber class at Battleground Speedway after being a pit man.  His first win was in 1985 in the Bomber Class at Battleground Speedway.  Career highlights include 1993 Street Stock Class Champion, Top 10 in Points 10 years in a row, winner of the 2003 Modified Madness, top 15 in Sims Points 2 times.

The thrill of racing for Jim is winning!  His most exciting racing moment was winning the 2003 Modified Madness and the 1993 Championship.  He's most proud of watching his two sons win.

Jim's racing hero is Terry Labonte.
