three girls. Jeff Emerson is the car owner.
Shannon started racing in 1996 in the
Hot Stock Class at Grayson County Speedway because he traded his jet
boat for a race car. His first win was in 1997 in the Hot Stock Class at
Grayson County Speedway. Career highlights include 1998 and 1999 Late
Model Track Championships, 1999 All Around Track Champion, multiple

The thrill of racing for Shannon is
putting on the helmet, going out there and hammering down for 20 laps
with his buddies. His most exciting moment was winning his first ever
feature in a borrowed car with a broke foot for the week before. He says
it was painful but very exciting. He is most proud of his success, and
his championships with his brother, wife and friends at the track. He
says its like he gains a family on race nights.
Shannon's racing hero is Tony Stewart.
Of racing, Shannon says, "If you want a
hobby to spend some time doing, go racing and just have fun. If you are
not having fun, your not a racer, get out!"
