Brandon started racing in 2006 in the
Mini Stock Class at Thunderbird Speedway because he's been around racing
his entire life. His Father, Bobby Ruffin raced and Brandon wanted
to try it himself, which has been the greatest experience of his life.
His first win was that same year. Career highlights include 2007
Jr. Mini Championship at Kennedale Speedway and '07 Young Guns Shootout
win at Kennedale Speedway.
The thrill of racing for Brandon is the
speed, competition and overall fun! His most exciting racing
moment was the night he won the Young Guns Shootout at Kennedale
Speedway.
Brandon's racing hero is his Father,
Bobby Ruffin.
Of racing, Brandon says, "So many people
have the misconception that racing is just a bunch of left turns.
They couldn't be further from the truth. The competition is unreal
as well as the art of mastering the car setup for each track condition.
Even the smallest mistake could total the car and land you in the
hospital!".
