David Emmons drives the #23 Limited Modified Class car.  His home track is RPM Speedway but he can also be found racing at Super Bowl Speedway and 85 Speedway.  He lives in Scurry, TX.

Team members helping David are:  Lee, Randy, Booger, Larry, Jimboe.  Andy Huffman with Andy's Racing owns the car.

David started racing in 1980 in the Limited Modified Class at Thunderbird Speedway because his Grandpa raced.  David's Dad owns the car.  David pitted from the time he was 10 and when David was 16, his Dad put him in the car.  His first win was in '84 in the Limited Mod Class at Thunderbird Speedway.  Career highlights include '04 Track Champion in Modified at Thunderbird Speedway.  David's son won the Track Championship in Modified in his first year of racing.

The thrill of racing for David was the time he flipped  at Thunderbird Speedway.  He flipped 9 or 10 times down the back stretch.  The car got on fire and David was lucky to get out.  He's most proud of his Championship  year.  His Dad died the same year David won his Championship.

David's racing hero is Eldon Dorson.

Of racing, David says, "If you can afford it, come out and try.  Even if you can't come out and watch!".
