David Bruns drives the #23 Street Stock Class car.  His home track is Shady Oaks Speedway but he can also be found racing at Texana Raceway.  He lives in Goliad, TX.

David started racing in 1985 in the Pure Stock Class at Shady Oaks Speedway as a hobby, to make money and travel around the world!  He quit in '93 starting back in '09.  His first win was in '87 in the Pure Stock Class at Shady Oaks Speedway.  Career highlights include '90 Pure Stock Track Champion, '09 finished 2nd 4 times, '10 finished 2nd, all others Top 5.

The thrill of racing for David is almost as good as sex.  His most exciting racing moment was his '90 Championship.  He's most proud of making lots of friends.

David's racing hero is his wife for letting him do this.
