Amelia Perez drives the #36  car.  Her home track is South Texas Speedway but she can also be found racing at Shady Oaks Speedway.  She lives in Corpus Christi, TX.

Team members helping Amelia are:  Gilbert - Dad, Micky - Mom, Gilbert III - brother.  Amelia Perez is the car owner.

Amelia started racing in 2008 in the Junior Class at South Texas Speedway because her Dad's boss is a IMCA Modified/Limited Modified Class driver.  Then her Dad built her a Kart to drive at South Texas Speedway.  Her first win was in '09 in the Junior Class at Rio Grand Speedway.  Career highlights include '08 Runner Up Track Champion at South Texas Speedway, '09 finished in 6th place in the Points at South Texas Speedway and in 3rd place in the Points at Rio Grand Speedway, '09 finished 2nd at South Texas Speedway Series with STS & RGS Karts.

The thrill of racing for Amelia is to compete with the boys.  Her most exciting racing moment was in '09 with her first Feature win at RGS in McAllen Texas.  She's most proud of being able to run with the boys.

Amelia's racing hero is Joey Logano.
