Steve Whitaker Jr. drives the #89 Modified Class car.  His home track is South Texas Speedway.  He lives in Corpus Christi, TX.

Team members helping Steve are:  David & Janna Schury, Mom - Sheri, Dad, Steve Sr., all family.  Steve Jr. and Steve Sr. are the car owners.

Steve started racing in 2001 in the Pure Stock Class at I-37 Speedway following his Dad.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include 1 USMTS win in '09 at Little Rock, AR, TMS win in September of '10.

The thrill of racing for Steve is the competition.  His most exciting racing moment was when his Dad was there to see his USMTS win.  He's most proud of his family being involved in his career.

Steve's racing hero is his Dad.
