Leland Waddell drives the #28 TSRS/Late Model Class car.  His home track is Thunder Hill Raceway but he can also be found racing all over.  He lives in Austin, TX.

Leland started racing in 1992 in the Street Stock Class at Longhorn Speedway because he needed a good, exciting hobby.  His first win was in '93 in the Street Stock class at Longhorn Speedway.  Career highlights include '98 Track Champion at San Antonio Speedway, '99 Track Champion at Thunder Hill Raceway, Pole for 1st San Antonio Octoberfast where he won the Feature, Pole for 2nd San Antonio Octoberfast where he won the Feature.

The thrill of racing for Leland is 3 wide back stretch first into turn 3.  His most exciting racing moment was every race - winning 2nd San Antonio Octoberfast with Terry James 6 inches off his "butt" for 50 laps!  He's most proud of being respected by his fellow racers and being known to race hard and clean (when he can).
