#96

Michael Knighten drives the #96 Modified Class car.  His home track is     Ark-La-Tex Speedway but he can also be found racing at Timberline Speedway.  He lives in Keithville, LA.

Team members helping Michael are:  Stewart and Terry Knighten.  Michael and Kortney Knighten are the car owners.

Michael started racing in 2002 in the Truck Class at Champion Park Speedway because it was something he wanted to do since he was a kid.  His first win was in '03 in the Truck Class at Champion Park Speedway.  Career highlights include '03-'04 Truck Champion at Champion Park Speedway, '06 finished 6th in National IMCA Southern Sport Mod Points, '06 4 wins in 8 days at 3 tracks in Sport Mod, '07 Sabine Motor Speedway Track Champion in Modifieds, over 30 career wins in multiple classes.

The thrill of racing for Michael is the competition, being able to run door to door with the best in the business.  His most exciting racing moment was winning the '10 Spring Nationals at Ark-La-Tex Speedway.  He's most proud of being successful and having an opportunity to win races.

Michael's racing hero is Tony Stewart.

Of racing, Michael says, "It's the most thrilling, exciting, competitive, family sport there is!".

His favorite racing website is www.jayski.com
