He started racing in 1989 in the Mini Stock Class at Old Dominion Speedway and Southside Speedway.  His first win was that same year.  Career highlights include 1989 Track Champion at ODS in Mini Stock, 1993 Track Champion at ODS in Late Model, 1995 Rookie of the Year at Busch North, 2001 LMSC Track Champion SoBo and SMS and won Bailey's 300 SoBo.
