He began racing in  1990 in Hobby Stock Class at Old Dominion Speedway because he had always wanted to be a Hollywood stunt driver. His first win was in 1992 in Hobby at Old Dominion Speedway. Career highlights include, 9 Career wins,1Grand Stock, and Most Popular Driver several  times.

The thrills of racing for Mark are the competition and the drive. His most exciting racing moment was the first Grand Stock win, 14 laps side by side with Timmy Harding for the win. He is most proud of his Family.

His racing heroes are Bill Elliot and A. J. Hoyt.
