Ray Ellington Jr. drives the #11 Grand Stock/Limited Sportsman Class car.  His home track  is South Boston Speedway but he can also be found racing at Orange County Speedway and Franklin County.  He lives in Madison Heights, VA.

Team members helping Ray are:  Les Moreland, Chris Moreland, Curtis Moreland, Robbie Thompson, Mark Parks, Ronnie Miear, Eddie Gibson, Derrick Leftwich, Cory Wilmer,  Margaret Ellington.  Ray Ellington Jr. and Ray Ellington Sr. are the car owners.

Ray started racing in 1999 in the Limited Sportsman Class at South Boston Speedway because he'd been attending races since he was 5 years old with the entire family.  Career highlights include finishing 4th in the Points in 2005 at South Boston Speedway in the Grand Stock Division, one outside Pole qualification at South Boston Speedway, finishing in the top 10 in Points, two of first three years racing at South Boston Speedway in Limited Sportsman and 5 top 5 finishes.

The thrill of racing for Ray is the speed, colors, sound, smell and the people.  It's in his blood.  His most exciting racing moment was finishing 4th at South Boston Speedway after spinning and crashing with 3 laps to go and smashing the whole front end of the car going for 2nd place (career best finish).  He's most proud of the time spent with his family and sending a 4 year old boy with cancer to Disneyworld with the money the team won (100%) in 2005!

Ray's racing heroes are Sonny Hutchins, Ray Hendrick, Sam Ard and Bill Elliott.

Of racing, Ray says, "Go one time and you will be hooked.  It is a sport for the whole family.  You do not have to win to love doing it, but it is all about trying to win!".
