Mary Anne Williams drives the #78 Sprint Class car.  Her home track is Virginia Motor Speedway.  She lives in Chester, VA.

Mary Anne started racing in 1991 in the Go Kart Stock Lite Class at King George AMR after racing concession karts in Myrtle Beach and had so much fun she had to have one.  Her first win was in '92 in the Stock Champ Class at VDKA King George.  Career highlights include '93 VDKA Champion in Champ Cart, '97 MAMSA Microsprint Points Champion, '98 - '00 Virginia Sprint Series  with several wins, '00 - '05 ASCS/AOAS 360 Sprints - 1 Feature win '03 Laurens County Speedway, multiple Top 5 finishes.

The thrill of racing for Mary Anne is the speed and the competition.  Also the simplicity and beauty of a Sprint Car - heading into a corner at full speed and knowing that the car will turn.  Her most exciting racing moment was '03 360 Sprint win at Laurens County Speedway and racing a 410 Sprint in western PA.  She's most proud that they have been competitive in most of the divisions that they've raced in doing it pretty well on their own.
