car. His home track is Virginia Motor Speedway but he can also be
found racing at Potomac Speedway. He lives in Midlothian, VA.
Team members helping Mack are: Ed
Knowles, Ray Fields, Dennis Bond, Bruce Clayton. Tatum Motorsports
is the car owner.
Mack started racing in 1995 in the
Vintage Modified Class at Ace Speedway and Southside Speedway because
his family has been racing since 1949, his Father raced until 1980
winning Championships in 3 decades. Mack's first win was in 2000
in the Vintage Modified Class at Ace Speedway. Career highlights
include 2002 Dixie Natural Sportsman Champion (Wood Stock GA, National
Vintage Meet).
The thrill of racing for Mack is having
fun every week and enjoying good family and friends. His most
exciting racing moment was winning the National Vintage Sportsman title
in 2002 at Wood Stock, GA. He was racing a Vintage Modified
replica of a car his Dad had won over 100 races in, racing against guys
from all over the East Coast. He's most proud of carrying the
tradition his Dad started some 50 years ago and racing his car number.
Mack's racing hero is his Dad, Bubba
Tatum.
Of racing, Mack says, "Remember why you
do it! To have fun!".
