Brad Omps drives the #5 Late Model Class
car. He lives in Winchester, Va. His home track is Winchester but he can
also be found racing at Hagerstown.
He began racing in 1986 in Road Hog Class
at Winchester, after racing go karts, he decided to move up. His first win
was in 1986 at Winchester in Road Hog Class. Career highlights include
1989 and 1991 Semi Late Winchester Track Championships. First Late Model
win in 1995 (Mike Clore Tribute), First Roger DeHaven Memorial win
this year (2004), First Orndorff Memorial win for Semi Late and Rookie of
the year in Roadrunner and Late Model.
His most exciting racing moment was wining
the tribute race to Mike Clore at Winchester one week after Mike's
accident, which took his life.
