David Werbelow drives the #22x IMCA Modified Class car.  His home track is Shawano Speedway but he can also be found racing at Seymour Raceway and Luxemburg Speedway.  He lives in Shawano, WI.

David started racing in 2005 in the IMCA Modified Class at Sturgeon Bay, Luxemburg Speedway and Seymour Raceway because he grew up around it and loved it since he first went to a race.  His first win was in 2006 in the IMCA Modified Class at Luxemburg Speedway.  Career highlights include finishing 3rd in Georgia Winter Nationals '05, Rookie of the Year honors at Luxemburg Speedway, Sturgeon Bay Raceway and Seymour Raceway 2005, Boone Super Nationals Heat Race win in 2005, 9 Heat Race wins in 2006, 2006 Luxemburg Fall Invitational winner.

The thrill of racing for David is the competition and challenge.  His most exciting racing moment was winning his first Heat Race at the Boone Super Nationals in '05.  He's most proud of beating his close friend, Jarrid Siefert, in the '06 Luxemburg Fall Invitational for David's very first Main event win.

David's racing hero is Troy Springborn (www.tspringborn.com).

Of racing, David says, "It's a great opportunity to meet new people and travel across the country and if you're good enough you can make a living doing it.  That's my dream anyway!".
