David Payne drives the #7D Modified Class car.  His home track is Beebe Speedway but he can also be found racing at CCSS and I-30 Speedway.  He lives in Cabot, AR.

David started racing in 2006 in the Hobby Stock class at Beebe Speedway because he grew up around it and he started going with Jim Taylor.  Career highlights include racing the Dale Murphy Memorial at Fast Trax Speedway, first Modified Heat win at Augusta in '08 and finished in the Top 3 at the Firecracker 30 at CCSS in '09.

The thrill of racing for David is the adrenaline rush and it's fun.  His most exciting racing moment was his first Heat win in Modified passing Jeff Taylor in '08 at Augusta.  He's most proud of how far he's come in such a short amount of time.

David's racing hero is Jim Taylor.

Of racing, David says, "There's more to racing than just a bunch of rednecks playing in the dirt!".
