Joel Young drives the # 71 Street Stock
car. He races out of Norman Ar. Diamond Park is his home track, but you
can also catch him racing at Batesville Motor Speedway.
Joel started racing for the fun of it,
in 1990 in a Street Stock at Lake Duachite. He got his first win his
rookie year at Lake Duachite Speedway.
Joel runs well no matter where he is
racing. At Lake Duachite Speedway in finished 3rd in '92,
2nd in '93. Won the Track Championship in 94, and was 5th in '95.
At Thunder Mountain he won the Championship in '96 and '98 and finished
2nd in '97. At Southwest Arkansas he won the track Championship in 2007
and 2008. He also had 3- 5th place years, 3-3rd place years. and
2- second place years. In 2008 he won the first Annual
"Tootsie Smith Memorial".
In 2001 Joel was the Diamond Park Track
Champion and Driver of the Year.
The thrill of racing for Joel is
fun and passing cars. His most exciting racing moment was running
side by side for the whole feature and coming away with the win.
He is most proud of being known as a
Lonnie Young, Bill Johnson, and Eugene
Young help and crew.
