John Kamm
#5K
John Kamm drives the #5K 600cc Mini Sprint
Class car. His home track is I-30 Speedway but he can
also be found racing at Central Arkansas Speedway. He lives in
Benton, AR.
Team members helping John are: All
the guys from MSMSA, especially Dusty, Tim, Jeremy and Jason. Chuck
Kamm - Dad, is the car owner.
John started racing in 2007 in the 600cc
Mini Sprint Class at I-30 Speedway and Central Arkansas Speedway because
he got tired of watching it and he'd like to have a career in NASCAR.
Career highlights include 2 top 10 finishes, 1 Hard Charger Trophy, with
only 12 races under his belt!
The thrill of racing for John is going
fast, handling the car. Doing what the older, more experienced
drivers are doing. His most exciting racing moment was having cars
flip right in front of him and receiving the Hard Charger Trophy and not
knowing about it! He's most proud of receiving the Hard Charger
Trophy, in his short career, and going up against the top drivers at the
tracks and surviving.
John's racing hero is Kyle Busch.
Of racing, John says, "It is fun!
It's also more work than I thought. It's also a lot different being
out on the track in the thick of it than up in the stands watching like I
used to do!".
