Lucas started racing in 1992 in the
Norlebco Quarter Midget Racing at Linda's Speedway because his family
has always been into racing. His father races. His mother's
family owned and operated dirt tracks. His first win was that same
year at the age of 5 years old. Career highlights include '07 PA
Speedweek Champion in the 410 Sprint Class, '07 Thunder on the Hill
Champion in the 410 Sprint, '07 Selinsgrove Speedway Track Champion in
the 410 Sprint Class, '05 Selinsgrove National Open Race win in the 410
Sprint Class, '07 won Old Spice Summer Sizzler in the 360 Sprint Class
and '07 won Casey Kahne Foundation Shootout in the 360 Sprint Class.
The thrill of racing for Lucas is being
able to do something he enjoys while working hard to achieve and earn
his goals. His most exciting racing moment was in 2000 while
racing Quarter Midgets in the infield parking lot at Indianapolis
Speedway??? He's most proud of being successful enough to compete
and race as a profession.
Lucas's racing hero is Dave Blaney.
Of racing, Lucas says, "Racing is both
physical and technical. Physically it is a competition of strength
and endurance on the driver's part, while technology is a combination on
how the driver and crew work together!".
