#06
Bill Flowers drives the #06 Crate Late
Model Class car. He travels with StormPay. He lives in Bremen, GA.
Team members helping Bill are: wife
Priscilla Flowers, son Carson Ford, Dick Baker, Bobby Thurston, and
Marion Davis. Troy and Cindy Dixon are the car owners.
Bill started racing in 1973 in the
Hobby-Street Stock Class at Seven Flags Speedway because he loved the
sport and his dad raced. His first win was in 1986 in the Late Model
Class at Seven Flags Speedway. Career highlights include many years with
the ARCA Remax Series, 1989 raced in the Winston Cup Sereies at Dover
and Pocono, Competed in the Have-A-Tampa Series for many years.
The thrill of racing for BIll is the
competition of the sport, the people and the camaraderie among those
involved in racing. His most exciting moment was in 1989 at Dayton,
driving ARCA Remax Car, 80 cars there to qualify for a 40 car field. He
was the last car to make race by only 2/10ths of a second, of which is
also his most proud racing moment.
Bill's racing heroes are Richard Petty
and James Hylton.
Of racing, Bill says, "We appreciate the
fans coming out and supporting the sport. At the end of the day it is
the fan who pays our bills, by attending the local track. We don't want
to, nor could we race in front of empty bleachers!"
