Mike Boland drives the #222 Late Model Class car.  His home track is WhyNot Motorsports Park but he can be found racing at many other tracks.  He lives in Cuba, AL.

Team members helping Mike are:  Wife - Lynn (Mike's biggest supporter), Bobby Faerber, 1992 Ben House, Barney Fairfield, Billy McDonnald.

Mike started racing in 1980 in the Super Street Stock Class car at WhyNot Motorsports Park because he had an Uncle that carried him to the races every week when he was a kid.  Mike's wife and he dated at the race track so when they got married we decided to get a car.  His first win was in '81 in the Super Street Class at WhyNot Motorsports Park.  Career highlights include winning Mississippi State Championship in Late Model Class. 

The thrill of racing for Mike is that it's just competition, not just the other cars, it's the track, hitting the right set up and conquering the race track.  His most exciting racing was making The World 100 at Eldora in '98.  He's most proud of both making World 100 and 7 State Championships.

Mike's racing hero is Billy Moyer.

Of racing, Mike says, "If you don't mind getting dirt in your eyes, it's the best form of competition.  If you don't like dirt, don't go!".
